Ear wax removal carried out by our highly-qualified audiologist, Liam Thompson. Liam is HCPC and RCCP registered, and provides professional earwax removal services, involving micro-suction and irrigation techniques. He uses a multi-method approach to safely and efficiently remove earwax.

Ear Wax removal methods
Micro –Suction: Wax removed by suction under microscopic examination.
This is generally accepted as the safest method of wax removal.
Irrigation: Wax removed by a controlled jet of water into the ear canal under microscopic examination.
Manual: Wax removal by Jobson horn and forceps under microscopic examination
A combination of all three methods may be required depending on ear canal shape and size and location of wax in the ear canal. All methods are safe and generally painless.
What to expect.
A history will be taken regarding the health of your ear and an examination. Advice will be given and a description of what procedure will be carried out.
If you are happy to proceed we can remove the wax using the most appropriate method for you.
We will then examine the ear again to make sure all the wax has been removed and that the ear drum is healthy.
